MURRAY – Due to a structurally unsound bridge, Clayton Drive is closed until further notice, the Calloway County Fiscal Court said Tuesday.

The Fiscal Court’s Facebook page said the County Road Department was notified Monday by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s bridge inspector that the bridge on Clayton Drive must be closed immediately and remain closed until further notice. The bridge had previously been reduced to a three-ton weight limit due to structural concerns. Following the most recent inspection, the state determined that a full closure is necessary out of caution and for public safety.
