BRIDGEPORT – Bridgeport High School is in the market for a new head football coach.
Andrew Yahn, who just finished his second year with the Bulldogs, did not have his one-year supplemental contract renewed by the district, according to Superintendent Brent Ripley.
Yahn was 7-14 as Bridgeport’s head coach. His 2024 team went 3-8, but qualified for the Division VII playoffs as the No. 16 seed before falling at No. 1 Danville, 54-0. Last fall, the Bulldogs went 4-6 but failed to make the playoffs when the field was narrowed from 16 teams to 12.
“The decision to not renew Mr. Yahn came from the recommendation of Mr. Jack Fisher, high school principal, who shared his recommendation with me. One that I am in full support of,” Ripley said in an email Tuesday afternoon. “Supplemental contracts
