A new law has been unveiled that will impact all UK households without driveways.
The change in regulations for home EV charging is set to make it 'easier and cheaper' for renters and those without a private driveway. The fresh legislation will require leaseholders to install EV charge points in covered car parks, reports the Express .
The law will also eliminate planning permission rules on pavement charging points, which the Government claims will save drivers £250 in application fees, while enabling EV owners to benefit from lower, standard domestic electricity prices.
