A British tourist has been stabbed outside a beach club on the popular party island of Phuket. Louis Johe Jarvie, aged 34, sustained a knife wound to his arm during the incident in Cherng Talay in the early hours of the morning. Jarvie was promptly taken to Thalang hospital, where he is currently recovering from his injuries. According to police, witnesses reported seeing a large foreign man attack Jarvie. In a statement, police said, "The victim is now feeling better but is not ready to respond." Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to help identify the suspect. They have also called on witnesses to come forward with any information. This incident follows another tragedy on the island, where a 37-year-old British man, Jason Mark Lambert from Ipswich, drowned while swimming with his partner at Freedom Beach. Lambert was swept away by a strong wave in a rip current last weekend. The local police are actively investigating both incidents as concerns grow over safety for tourists in the area.
