MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A HAZMAT situation has closed I-271 in both directions between I-76 and SR 94, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

This started around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday after the driver of a tanker truck lost control and rolled the vehicle.

There is no information about the condition of the truck driver or what the tanker truck was carrying.

Multiple emergency personnel are on the scene.

ODOT said there is no estimated time of reopening and are asking drivers to avoid the area.
