Srinagar, Dec 3 (UNI) Kashmir experienced another freezing night as minimum temperatures continued to remain well below the freezing point, dipping 3 to 6 degrees across several parts of the Valley.
The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar said the summer capital recorded a low of –4.4°C on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, around 3.2 degrees below normal.
Shopian in south Kashmir remained the coldest at –5.9°C, followed by Konibal Pampore at –5.0°C and Pahalgam at –4.6°C. Kokernag was comparatively milder at –1.2°C, while Qazigund recorded –3.6°C.
In north Kashmir, the MeT office said Kupwara registered a minimum of –4.1°C, and the ski resort of Gulmarg settled at –2.6°C.
