SRINAGAR : Kashmir Valley remained gripped by intense cold as night temperatures dropped sharply across the region, with several locations falling well below freezing, according to meteorological data. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Summer capital of Jammu Kashmir, Srinagar recorded a minimum of –4.0°C, while nearby Pampore dropped to –5.0°C. Pulwama was the coldest in the region at –5.6°C. Pahalgam, Anantnag and Baramulla each registered –4.8°C, and Gulmarg stood at –1.0°C. Kokernag was comparatively milder at –0.8°C.

Elsewhere in the Valley, Kupwara posted –3.2°C, Budgam –4.2°C, Bandipora –3.9°C, Ganderbal –2.6°C and Awantipora –4.0°C. Sonamarg recorded –3.6°C, while Zojila Pass remained the coldest point at a severe –17.0°C. Zethan Rafiabad reported –4.6°C.
