Tesco is offering hundreds of imperfect Christmas trees free of charge this year in a bid to help shoppers embrace the "imperfect side of the festive season". The trees will be available at selected branches for just one day – Saturday, December 6 – with the supermarket encouraging those collecting them to contribute to food charities Fareshare and Trussell.
These trees, which wouldn't typically make it to shop floors due to minor flaws such as irregularly spaced branches or a slight lean "ever-so-slightly to the side", are being given another opportunity to serve their festive purpose, the retailer explained.
