TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - UniSource Energy Services customers in Tucson can expect a decrease in their electric bills this month.

The company has removed a temporary surcharge from all accounts, resulting in savings for customers.

UniSource Energy Services said the change took effect this week and will reduce the average residential bill by about $19.

The surcharge, which began in 2023, was implemented to cover higher fuel costs from previous years.

Now that those costs have been recovered, customers will see the savings reflected in their next billing cycle, UniSource said.
