The new Center Parcs village in the Scottish Borders has passed yet another milestone, ahead of its planned opening in 2029.

Blueprints for the brand new holiday park – the first in Scotland – were first unveiled back in November.

And this week, planning officials have recommended those proposals be approved.

The chief planning and housing officer, Barry Fotheringham, said the new £450,000,000 Center Parcs village will be ‘transformational’ to the Borders, ‘delivering year-round quality jobs as well as hundreds of thousands of new visitors annually.’

Fotheringham’s recommendation will be put before the Planning & Building Standards Committee on Monday, December 8.
