Milder temperatures and sunshine will prevail across Pennsylvania today before an arctic cold front delivers snow showers , gusty winds and frigid temperatures beginning Thursday.

The National Weather Service in State College reports that Wednesday will be relatively pleasant with high temperatures ranging from near 30 degrees in the northwest to around 40 degrees in the southeast.

An arctic cold front will move through the state early Thursday morning, bringing light snow showers that could affect travel along the I-99/I-80 corridor.

While forecast snow amounts are light and primarily confined to western high terrain, the potential for snow squalls poses the greatest risk in the northern half of the state.
