Aberdeen's council tenants are facing a 9.5% increase in rent from April next year.
The local authority has approved its Housing Revenue Account for the 2025/26 financial year, with the proposed rent hike given approval.
It is hoped the increase in rent can be used to fund the maintenance and modernisation of the city's 23,000 council homes .
The city council added that feedback from a recent consultation showed tenants ranked repairs as the top priority for rental income.
Next year's planned investment in housing stock is approximately £118million, including around £20million for window replacements and nearly £7million for new heating systems.
