A netball club in Aberdeenshire which launched over twenty years ago has said it needs support 'more than ever' as their funding struggles continue to grow.
Newtonhill Netball Club helps over 100 women and girls in a town of just 3,000 people stay active and build community, but with sponsors running dry they need both funding and volunteers to continue to grow.
Newtonhill boasts a successful sporting history for its size, partly thanks to the community-run club that has been providing netball sessions for players of all ages and abilities for over two decades.
"We’re a community group and it’s primarily about getting women active at all ages – that’s our main goal," says Mhairi Stephen, one of the coaches at Newtonhill.
