Lane Kiffin made thousands of enemies just by deciding to take his talents to LSU.

On his way out of the door, Kiffin claims that his former players all wanted him to continue coaching them in the College Football Playoff.

We are now finding out that what he said wasn’t true, and that’s from the players in the room.

“I was hoping to complete a historic six-season run with this year’s team by leading Ole Miss through the playoffs, capitalizing on the team’s incredible success and their commitment to finish strong,” Kiffin wrote in his statement Sunday.

He added that Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter denied his request “despite the team also asking him to allow me to keep coaching them so they could better maintain their high level of performance.”
