Aspire Public Schools says it is grieving alongside the Aspire APEX Academy community after the death of 8-year-old student Maya Lupian, who was killed in a Stockton mass shooting over the weekend during a birthday party.
In a statement shared by Brooke Nugent, Chief of Staff at Aspire Public Schools Central Valley, the organization described the loss as "devastating and tragic," extending condolences and support to the family and the school community.
