PHOENIX — A second-alarm fire overnight on Wednesday has impacted a business in Phoenix.

Around 12:45 a.m., Phoenix firefighters were called to reports of a structure fire in the area of 22nd Avenue and Roosevelt Street.

When crews arrived on the scene, there was smoke coming from the roof of a commercial business, according to the city's fire department.

Firefighters used hose lines inside the business to fight the blaze.

Officials said due to the size of the fire and building, crews transitioned to a defensive position and balanced the fire to a Second Alarm.

Hazardous Materials Teams metered the building for chemicals found inside the business.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were initially reported.
