An overturned fuel tanker on I-271 between Route 94 and Brecksville Road in Granger Township early Wednesday, forcing the highway's continued closure between the affected area, the Granger Fire Department reported.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at about 4 a.m. upon hearing reports that the tanker had overturned in the northbound lanes. Upon arrival at the scene, fire, police and hazardous materials teams immediately began containment procedures, Granger Fire officials stated.
