WASHINGTON (KGNS) - President Donald Trump announced he will issue a “full and unconditional pardon” for Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife, Imelda Cuellar, who face federal bribery charges .

Trump announced on Wednesday, December 3, on his Truth Social platform, claiming the Texas Democrat was prosecuted because he opposed the Biden administration’s border policies.

“For years, the Biden Administration weaponized the Justice System against their Political Opponents, and anyone who disagreed with them,” Trump wrote in the post.

Henry Cuellar and his wife were indicted in May 2024 on charges related to allegedly accepting bribes from foreign entities. The Justice Department accused the congressman of accepting payments in exchange for influencing policy and legislation.
