RICHLAND, Wash.- Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin (CISBF) and the Richland School District are proving what’s possible when schools and community organizations work together with one shared goal: removing barriers so students can succeed.
Assistant Superintendent of the Richland School District, Bryan Jones shared that while educators work tirelessly every day, many student challenges extend beyond the classroom.
“Communities In Schools plays a crucial role in supporting our schools,” Jones said. “Our educators do incredible work every day, but there are challenges like housing instability, food insecurity, mental-health needs, or family crises that extend beyond what a school can address alone.”
