There's more than one type of Victory, and while Ririe High School's Varsity Football Team did not win the 3A state championship this year, the team still celebrated a different victory. This, according to Head Coach Josh Huntsman, was the first time a Ririe Varsity team made it to the state championships.
Ririe, he said, had won the District title three times in the past; once in 1947, again in 1948, and again nearly a decade later in 1957. Their overall statistics this season show 11-1.
"We're really excited about this season," said Huntsman, "but we're not done yet. We're going to continue to improve and make it back again."
