After 19 seasons, seven division titles and a Super Bowl win, there is a sense that a breakup may be imminent between Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers .
Though the Steelers still have a shot to win the dismal AFC North, their 6-6 record is a perfect reflection of a franchise stuck in neutral. The offseason addition of Aaron Rodgers has failed to spark an offense that ranks 27th in total yards, while a usually stout defense has regressed to the bottom half of the league in both points and yards allowed.
Adding to the Steelers' headache has been the ill-advised decision to acquire DK Metcalf and trade George Pickens, with the latter ascending to one of the league’s best receivers in Dallas and the former averaging the lowest yards-per-game of his seven-year career.
