EKKL Entertainment, a newly launched distribution company, has acquired “ She Dances ,” which stars Steve Zahn and his daughter, Audrey Zahn. The film premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and marked the feature directorial debut of Rick Gomez.

Zahn and Gomez co-wrote the story of a parent and child attempting to repair their relationship and reconcile over a shared tragedy against the backdrop of the Young Miss Southeast Regional Dance Finals.

EKKL Entertainment said it is dedicated “to curating stories that remind us who we are, what we believe, and why we belong.” It wants to distribute audience-friendly and inspiring films.
