A London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train at King's Cross station.
There has been major disruption to LNER services after a person was hit by a train. The incident happened at Stevenage on Wednesday afternoon and all lines between Peterborough / Cambridge and London are currently closed.
A number of services from London Kings Cross and Edinburgh, which pass through Newcastle , have now been cancelled or delayed. The train company say that disruption is expected to last until 7pm this evening.
LNER have told customers: "A person has been hit by a train between Peterborough / Cambridge and London. Whilst the emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed.
