SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Police Department is announcing the closure of a pair of alleged illicit massage parlors in Sparks.

They say Royal Spa & Massage and The Massage Shop were engaged in illicit practices and were investigated by the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit.

Police investigated multiple online ads they say were promoting illegal prostitution that were connected to both businesses. Police say online reviews described prostitution acts that occurred within both locations.

The Sparks City Attorney’s Office revoked the business license for both parlors.

No information about possible criminal charges was provided.
