Ari Theodoropoulos’s last year as a junior kart racer ended like many others.
The 15-year-old from Stratford recently captured his fourth straight Rotax Junior title and set a Hamilton Regional Kart Club record with a fifth consecutive championship, dating back to the cadet division.
“It feels pretty cool,” he said. “I feel very lucky to be able to have that record. I’m happy I managed to get there.”
Theodoropoulos won seven of 16 races in Hamilton and was top three in 14 regular season events. Having a few years of two-stroke experience driving a faster kart “played a huge contributing factor” in another dominant season before the move to senior, he said.
