SEATTLE — An 88-year-old South Seattle woman was hospitalized in mid-October after a stranger attacked her on her back porch , bit off her finger, and violently robbed her of her jewelry, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, remains unidentified as authorities seek the public's help.
For the first time, KING 5 heard directly from Emma Cotton herself, as she recounted the terrifying assault at her Rainier Beach home.
"He came at me from the back, and I turned around, and then he started socking me in my head, my face, my everything," Cotton said. "I said, 'How would you feel if somebody was doing this to your grandmother?'"
