LAKE BALBOA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police responded to a mental health call that led to an officer-involved shooting Wednesday morning at a home in Lake Balboa, authorities said.
Few details about the incident were immediately available, including whether anyone was struck by gunfire or otherwise injured.
Police initially arrived at the scene following a report of a male with mental illness at 7:30 a.m. in the 17200 block of Valerio Street, just east of Louise Avenue, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told ABC7.
