LOS ANGELES ( WGHP ) — The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Wednesday morning that they are “parting ways” with future Basketball Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul.

The Athletic reports that the decision, which was apparently made overnight, “was not Paul’s, and not one that was initiated by Paul.”

The struggling Clippers were on the road this week, playing in Miami on Monday night. The team is scheduled to play against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
