CrossCountry has issued a major update to the Christmas timetable after the announcement of strikes last month plunged travellers into uncertainty.
The train operator has announced that a normal timetable will be reinstated on Saturday 6 December following the suspension of planned industrial action.
This means that a normal service is expected to operate on Saturday 6, 13, 20 and 27 December.
CrossCountry’s Managing Director, Shiona Rolfe, said: “We are pleased that RMT has called off planned strike action throughout December, and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board to take them into the festive season. We aim to run our normal timetable on Saturday, but the short time available to reinstate services means there may be some short-notice cancellations."
