“ Paranormal Activity ” will terrify moviegoers yet again with a new entry in the $900 million-grossing franchise, as Blumhouse – Atomic Monster partner with Paramount Pictures on a new movie.

The new film will be co-financed and co-produced by Paramount and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, with Paramount handling worldwide distribution. Plot details are being kept closely under wraps, but the project is moving forward as priority development for all parties.

James Wan, who launched the similarly successful “The Conjuring” franchise, joins the “Paranormal Activity” universe as a producer. Wan will produce on behalf of Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, with Oren Peli, who created the original “Paranormal Activity,” producing for Solana Films.
