SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The suspect in custody in connection with a high-speed car chase last month will be held without the right to bail.
A judge made that decision Wednesday during a dangerousness hearing for 37-year-old Carlos Maldonado.
On November 5, police tried to pull Maldonado over in West Springfield, but he took off, hit a police car, then drove the wrong way and crashed head-on into another car. The crash left a mother in critical condition.
After that, Maldonado allegedly tried to run away but was caught. Three officers were hurt and taken to the hospital.
