COLUMBIA, S.C. — Governor Henry McMaster on Tuesday announced the launch of the Center for Cybersecurity at the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA), a new hub designed to guide and coordinate the state’s expanding cybersecurity efforts.
The Center will oversee implementation of South Carolina’s first statewide cybersecurity strategic plan, developed through a multi-year study completed in 2024. That study evaluated the state’s cyber strengths, vulnerabilities, and future needs across education, workforce development, defense, business, and government operations.
