The Reno City Council voted Wednesday to sell one of the four city-owned properties that are for sale and suggested putting out requests for proposals from developers on the other properties.
The four properties are left over from the Reno Transportation Rail Access Corridor agreement, or ReTRAC.
ReTRAC is the 2.3-mile underground train trench, completed in 2005. The city received ownership of excess properties from Union Pacific Railroad as part of the project. Earlier this year, the city voted to sell or lease 23 of the ReTRAC parcels .
The property that will be sold is at 333 Galletti Way and already has a buyer, Cemex Construction Materials Pacific , which already rents the property for their building supply storefront.
The city will receive roughly $1.32 million from the sale.
