CONCORD, N.H. —

Gov. Kelly Ayotte might not have much competition in the 2026 race for governor at the moment, but that's not stopping her from amassing a campaign war chest to prepare for next year's election.

The governor's campaign announced a fundraising haul Wednesday of nearly $1.2 million for the December filing period, bringing her total raised for the current election cycle to more than $2.1 million.

"Since day one, Governor Ayotte has been laser-focused on keeping New Hampshire the best place to live, work and raise a family," said campaign spokesman John Corbett. "She has fought to build more housing, improve our schools and keep our state the safest in the country."
