National Hockey League players are dropping all over North America right now, so don’t expect anyone to feel badly for the Bruins.
But that’s not to say the local hockey team isn’t in a bit of a crisis.
Injuries have hit throughout the lineup, with the most glaring one being their top player in David Pastrnak. But as a group, the defense corps has been crushed. Going into Tuesday’s loss in Detroit, the B’s were already without Charlie McAvoy, Jordan Harris and Henri Jokiharju and, in the first period, call-up Michael Callahan was lost to a lower body injury.
