The micro-budget 2007 original scared up huge box office returns and sparked a franchise that’s dropped a new entry every few years since. Part seven, Next of Kin , came out in 2021, so it’s about time for a new piece in the saga—beyond the current stage play , that is. But while an eighth Paranormal Activity might not be that exciting on its own, this part of the news sure is: horror titan James Wan , whose Atomic Monster completed its merger with Paranormal Activity home base Blumhouse in 2024, is adding his name to the project.
