Three police officers are injured after in a shooting and a suspect is dead after an incident at a gas station in Omaha, Nebraska, on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The incident occurred at a QuikTrip around 2:25 p.m. Omaha police said the officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Omaha police chief Todd Schmaderer said officers obtained a license plate of the suspect in a shooting at a grocery store earlier Wednesday.
Detectives tracked the vehicle to the QuikTrip and the suspect allegedly came out of the bathroom and started shooting, Schmaderer said.
Two officers were hit by gunfire and another was hit by shrapnel, according to Schmaderer.
"Very dangerous day involving this suspect," Schmaderer said. He said the suspect was a man in his 20s
