Frederick County's new grant program to support food distribution efforts is accepting applications for its first round of funding.

The Frederick Food Equity and Emergency Distribution, or FEED, program is open to "existing food banks, pantries, religious organizations, and nonprofits that provide food, groceries, backpack food programs, or hot meals to people within Frederick County," according to a county press release sent Monday.
