A freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Tucson at 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
This warning applies to Upper Santa Cruz River and Altar Valleys, including Nogales; Upper San Pedro River Valley, including Sierra Vista, Benson; eastern Cochise County below 5,000 feet, including Douglas, Willcox; Upper Gila River and Aravaipa Valleys, including Clifton and Safford.
The National Weather Service warns: "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
