A sanitation worker was charged after allegedly shooting a gun at a Philadelphia facility and then running from police in November, according to the police department.

Witnesses told police that a man was acting erratically when he entered a Department of Sanitation facility on the 3900 block of North Delaware Avenue just after 7 p.m. on Nov. 26, officials said.

The man, identified as 61-year-old Nelson Slaughter, eventually left the facility before later returning and firing two gunshots into the building, police said.
