PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The mother who had her car stolen by a “fake valet” outside of Hasbro Children’s Hospital said she’s sad it happened to her, but grateful her daughters are safe.
The woman, who didn’t want to be identified, said she brought her daughters to the hospital on Nov. 30 and was approached by a man claiming to be valet.
She called 911 after finding out she’d been duped.
Police alleged the phony valet was 35-year-old Justin Rose, who later led officers on a chase in the stolen car.
Rose was held without bail for violating the conditions of his bond in a previous case.
Court records show Rose has a lengthy criminal history, dating back to 2017.
