A man and a woman are facing animal cruelty charges after a puppy and a dog were found in a Seymour residence “severely malnourished and emaciated.”
Woodbridge Regional Animal Control received a call from a concerned individual on Oct. 27 reporting alleged animal neglect, according to the Woodbridge Police Department .
Woodbridge animal control officers, with the assistance of the Seymour Police Department, were dispatched to a Seymour residence where officers observed two dogs that were allegedly “severely malnourished and emaciated,” Woodbridge police said. One of dogs, an 11-month-old Cane Corso, was allegedly covered in feces and was immediately transported to VCA Shoreline Emergency Room in Shelton.
