Former astronaut and billionaire entrepreneur Jared Isaacman appeared before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee in Washington on Wednesday.
“Today, we will consider the nomination of Jared Isaacman to serve as administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which I have to say for a moment feels a little like 'Groundhog Day,'” Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said.
This time last year, Isaacman was President Trump’s pick for the role. He withdrew that nomination in the middle of this year, citing past donations to Democratic candidates. The president then renominated Isaacman last month.
