Imphal, December 03 2025: The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 was observed today at the City Convention Centre, Ground Floor Gallery Hall, Palace Compound, Imphal, with a vibrant and inclusive programme aimed at promoting disability rights, accessibility, and equal opportunities.

The event was organised by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur.

Observed under the theme "Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress", Dr Puneet Kumar Goel, Chief Secretary attended the event as chief guest.

Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, Secretary, Social Welfare; Waikhom Birahari Singh, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities; and Anna Arambam, Director, Social Welfare among other officials attended the observance.
