ALEXANDRIA, VA — Volunteer Alexandria (VolALX) is rallying the community to help brighten the holidays for local families with its annual Toys4ALX collection drive, now underway through December 11 . With more families struggling under rising living costs, this year’s goal is especially critical: collecting more than 3,500 new, unwrapped toys to support 700+ children across the city.
“More and more parents are struggling to support their families due to higher costs,” said Marion Brunken , Executive Director of Volunteer Alexandria. “This toy drive helps the 300+ families registered with the Fund for Alexandria’s Child by providing 3–5 toys for each child, but we depend on the generosity of the Alexandria community to make this happen.”
