ROCHESTER, Minn.- Choose and Cut Fraser Firs says it has been open for almost 3 weeks this year and over the Black Friday weekend it has already sold over 500 trees.

Michael Dose, owner of the Christmas Tree Farm, says that was double the farm's usual Black Friday sales.

Dose credits the uptick in business to families wanting to get their tree ahead of further snowfall.

He says going into next weekend the farm is expecting a similar level of business with the early holiday season usually being its busiest time of year.

Choose and Cut has around 22 acres with over 22,000 trees for families to choose from every year.

The farm says every season it usually sells an average of over 2,000 trees to local families.

Dose says with the early boost to business he's optimistic about the year ahe
