PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — Peoria Mayor Jason Beck announced on social media Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in 2026, saying he intends to focus more on his family and their business ventures.

In the letter posted on X, formerly Twitter, Beck highlighted accomplishments in office, including launching the city’s first aviation unit to improve public safety.

“Together we’ve accomplished more than I ever imagined possible. As much as I love this job, Jane and I have always prioritized our Family and God,” Beck said in the letter.

He is also the CEO of TYR Tactical , which manufactures body armor for agencies such as the FBI and for militaries worldwide.
