Air travel across the country witnesses disruption on Wednesday as more than 150 IndiGo flights were cancelled at eight major airports, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at terminals for hours.

Both flight cancellations and long delays has led the passengers to total confusion, with the impact spreading through the day and piling additional pressure on airport infrastructure already struggling with holiday-season traffic.

According to data from aviation authorities, 42 flights were cancelled in Bengaluru, 38 in Delhi, 33 in Mumbai, 25 in Ahmedabad, 19 in Hyderabad, 11 in Indore, 10 in Kolkata, and 8 in Surat.
