According to the Election Commission’s latest report on political funding for the year 2024–25, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerges as the highest beneficiary of electoral trust donations, receiving ₹959 crore, nearly three times more than the Congress.

The report published on the EC website shows that last year, the Congress received ₹313 crore out of its total ₹517 crore donations through electoral trusts.

The Trinamool Congress reported ₹153 crore via electoral trusts out of its total ₹184.5 crore funding.

Although the Congress has uploaded its annual donation report on the Commission’s portal, the BJP’s full report for the same period has not yet been uploaded.
