WACO, Texas — After getting overlooked and receiving no offers out of high school, wide receiver Josh Cameron took a leap of faith and walked on to the Baylor football team—never imagining that the kid no one believed in would one day earn a full scholarship.
For Josh, the dream had always been clear: play Division I football at the FBS level. And, eventually, that dream came true.
“My younger self would probably be like, man, we made it to the D1 level like we said we were gonna do," said Cameron. You’re that much closer to the goal—making it to the NFL, being able to set your mom up, your family up. That’s always been at the forefront of my mind.”
He walked on at Baylor, unsure of how things would unfold, but certain of where he needed to be. He knew God was telling him what to do.
